On my way home, I stopped by Fiji.

Flying over lovely Vitu Levu. You can drive around the whole island in about 6 hours.

The plane to take me from the main island to Kadavu, where I would be staying. Flying over lovely Vitu Levu. You can drive around the whole island in about 6 hours. The airport on Kadavu. The proper way to get around Kadavu- The longboat. The Fijian government has a good deal for outboard motors, so all these boats have relatively new motors. It's about a 2 hour boat trip from where the plane landed to here, which is the bay in front of the place where I stayed.
Drinking Kava. I rather like the taste. Best to do it on an empty stomach, as it calms you quicker. The folks here at all the people at the place I was staying, plus the folks who owned the land we were visiting.
The Kava plant. According to the natives of Kadavu, they make the best. I would agree. although I admit I have not sampled as much as I would like.
A waterfall- This is about 200 meters behind the previous photo. I would love to go back to Fiji. All the folks on Kadavu are nice, helpful, hard working folks.
